Three Santa Ana police officers were charged with stealing protein bars and cookies from a medical marijuana dispensary
Police officers raid the Sky High Collective pot dispensary in Santa Ana in May in this screenshot of a video taken by security cameras. A lawsuit, filed last week in Orange County Superior Court by three unidentified police officers and the Santa Ana Police Officers Association, seeks to prevent Santa Ana Police Department internal affairs investigators from using the video as they sort out what happened during the May 26 raid of Sky High Collective.
Three Santa Ana police officers were charged with stealing protein bars and cookies from a medical marijuana dispensary during a 2015 raid, prosecutors said Monday. The dispensary previously filed a federal lawsuit accusing the officers of using excessive force during the raid last year. A video of the incident released last year showed officers apparently entering the dispensary, playing darts and eating snack food that belonged to the staff, which was under investigation for possibly operating without a license.
